Course Description
The Red Hat Enterprise Linux Update Course course is designed for Linux system administrators with RHCT or RHCE certification, or equivalent skills, who possess Red Hat Enterprise Linux version 3 or version 4 experience. The course brings individuals up to speed on the latest technologies inherent to Red Hat Enterprise Linux, version 5.
This course offers the same lecture, lab, and hands-on learning as RHUP304 without the RHCE exam on the fourth day.
What you will learn:
The course will teach participants some of the new features of Red Hat Enterprise Linux, version 5, aimed at Linux system administrators familiar with versions 3 and/or 4 of Enterprise Linux. Although the course will focus on material new from version 4 to version 5, some version 3 to version 5 material is included as well.

Prerequisites:
The RHUP305 class is suitable for holders of RHCT and RHCE certificates (or those with equivalent knowledge and experience), as well as developers and those with upper level Certificates of Expertise.In addition, customers should have broad experience with Red Hat enterprise Linux version 3 and/or 4.
Goal:
A Red Hat Enterprise Linux system administrator who has been trained on the new features of the version 5 of Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
Audience:
Linux system administrators who have significant real world experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux, versions 3 and/or 4.
Includes:
- 2 1/2 days intensive fast-track training on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5
- 1/2 day self-paced directed lab
- Hands-on labs and exercises
- RHCE Exam on day 4
